        Verdict

        Not a lot of recent form on show here and so it may concern Delightful Gift and Peregrine Hawk who have both reached the frame on their last outings. Perigrine Hawk just gets the verdict, while Marengo may do best of the remainder. The selection showed plenty of improvement to chase home Fraternity over course and distance last week with the third well beaten off. It wasn't the strongest of contests but neither is this and he could be the best option here. Delightful Gift was also on that Southwell card and did well to finish third behind Ba Clubman in the claimer. As with the selection it was an improved performance and there may be more to come. Marengo is nearing the veteran stage but still managed a decent effort behind Rocky Reppin last time and could go well at a decent price. The others have little to recommend them, and so Peregrine Hawk does have a good opportunity to record his first ever victory.
