In depth
Verdict
Kyrenia Girl gets the vote over Gold Digger and newcomer Expensive Art in the opener on the card. Kyrenia Girl looked fit enough to do herself justice at Catterick, and underlined the fact when finishing second to the odds-on favourite Weekend Fling. Housed wide in stall eight then, she has a much kinder draw here and should go close. Gold Digger makes her Turf debut after two fair runs on the all-weather, but looks nothing special, and a bigger danger may well turn out to be Expensive Art who was pulled out of an alternative engagement on Turf last week. She is entered up all over the place, and so must be ready to run. The only other indicator here is the market, and we shall return to Kyrenia Girl as the answer.
