    Verdict

Secretive is a nicely bred Mark Johnston-trained newcomer who should be watched in the market here, but we will side with experience and take BOY THE BELL to score, with respect for the claims of Master Leon. The selection has had three runs thus far, the most recent of which was an encouraging first start here. Although no match for the winner then, he did at least beat the rest of the field, and this step up in trip now makes him much more appealing as a betting proposition. Master Leon has proved himself around here with three decent recent efforts at the track. He drops back in trip from a mile and if he copes with that in this company is likely to emerge as a leading player. Golden Tiger should act on the surface and this trip should also be ideal, though it is not too enouraging that he has reduced in price as a two-year-old. Thomas Tate can do the job with the right ammunition, though this one's profile suggests that it may not be firing today. Lily In The Pond is another who might take to this surface and the drop back in trip looks a positive for her. The market should be monitored for an idea as to her chance, but Boy The Bell can score.
