Verdict

A competitive handicap here, where only a select few show any signs of recent good form and we give the nod to THEY ALL LAUGHED who should snatch victory with close contention from Elk Trail and Rawdon. The selection is in good form of late. Five of his seven career wins have come on the all weather, the latest early last month when he was a winner over course and distance. His last outing was a little disappointing, but he returns to his favoured track here and this is his preferred distance. Elk Trail has been running well on turf this year wining two of his last five outings. The gelding is progressing and a cross over to the Fibresand here should be of benefit. He runs best when up with the pace and a return to those tactics here today should see him at least make the money. Rawdon is another who has performed well over the all weather recently, coming in runner up behind the selection when last here. A repeat of that performance should see him thereabouts at the finish. Good form is lacking among the rest. Stringsofmyheart returns after a seven month absence and Onemoreandstay has been poor since winning here five outings ago. Both will need to put in career best efforts if they are to get the better of They All Laughed.
