In depth

Verdict

A tough race to call here for punters with very little between many of the leading lights but the main protagonists look to be Whatcanyasay,Day du Roy and Seymar Lad and the tentative nomination is given to Whatcanisay. The selection won well last time out when beating Media Man, that form looks solid and despite his penalty under similar conditions here he looks the one to be on. Day du Roy rates the main danger on his latest second behind Johnny Roche but he often finds less than expected off the bridal and at likely odds he looks worth opposing. Seymar Lad is another that could go well as he has the ability to win off this mark but he usually needs his first run of the season as he is a stuffy sort and he looks worth taking on with this in mind. No More Tom could improve for the switch to fences and the longer trip so is worth a cautionary look in the market. Of the remainder Solarias Quest is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but he is hard to win with and for the winner we return to Whatcanisay.
