Verdict
A couple of these have taken well to the Fibresand having gone close on their course debuts before winning over track and trip. That includes Star Of St James, who should go well again with an apprentice’s allowance negating most of a 4lb rise but XCELENTE is preferred. The latter has a 9lb hike to contend with but romped home by over four lengths last time and was racing off higher marks in nurseries last year. Samphire Coast has won here but saves his best for Chelmsford while World Title has been gelded and debuts on this surface along with Spiritofthenorth and Ayr Harbour.
