        Verdict

        Takajan sets the standard on the ratings but REVEREND GREEN won a bumper here and can add to that success. Kevin Ryan's gelding cruised into contention over 1m6f here before winning by a head, so whilst the drop back in trip is of some concern there are no doubts about the course and in a poor race he gets the vote. The way he travelled last time suggested a mile shouldn't be too much of a problem, so he's preferred to Takajan who holds an official rating of 73. Sylvester Kirk's gelding looks to deserve that figure judging by his last time out second at Lingfield, but there have to be some concerns about his ability to act on the Fibresand so he's opposed. Swell Fellow will need to improve upon his modest debut but may do so for his emerging yard, so he's preferred to Montego Breeze of those at bigger prices. The last-mentioned has shown little in two starts here but she might benefit from stepping up to a mile, although it'll be a shock if she's good enough to win. Similar comments apply to Davana although her second two starts ago showed that she acts here and that counts for plenty, so she's of more appeal than Candilejas who makes her debut here having shown moderate form so far. Kitty Koo is a newcomer to note in the betting but doesn't make much appeal at this stage and with Paint By Numbers looking decidedly modest this looks best left to Reverend Green.
