In depth
Verdict
Go West has found just the one too good in each of his last three starts, latterly behind Piran at Worcester earlier this month, and Heather Dalton looks to have found a suitable opportunity for the son of Flemensfirth to open his account over fences, getting the vote ahead of Oh Braga and Rebel Melody. The last mentioned has shown a reasonable level of form over hurdles in six starts over timber and has to be resected on his debut over fences but lack of experience over the larger obstacles is of concern for Charlie Mann's gelding. Missisipi Assassin gave little sign of encouragement on his debut in a decent novices' hurdle at Ascot in January, while Dare Too Dream has the ability to play a part in the finish but has disappointed on both previous starts over fences so he looks best watched. Tom George's Oh Braga is less exposed than most of these and has to be respected but a better bet looks to be Go West, who is taken to gain a deserved first success over fences.
