In depth
Verdict
FOUNTAINS CHIEF (NAP) disappointed at Hereford on his handicap debut but was progressing nicely over timber before that and gets another chance with today’s quicker ground in his favour. Clay Rogers makes his handicap bow having missed the whole of last year and stablemate Clonakilty also goes handicapping for the first time. Shallow River ran well at Wincanton and steps up in trip while Doctor Dex, a winner in France, placed at Haydock on last month’s debut for a new trainer.
