In depth

Verdict

Bond Kathleen and Jeano De Toulouse make most appeal of those with experience, despite both being well beaten last time. A newcomer may be good enough to take this, however, and Deed Of Gift is worth noting. He's from the family of the smart Silent Oscar and preferred to the Flat-bred China Excels but a chance is taken on SALTO D'ALBAIN. A half-brother to a couple of National Hunt winners, Richard Phillips' charge should be straight enough and gets a speculative vote on his debut.
