    In depth

    Formwatch

Adjudicator (IRE) Paul Cole-trained Barathea colt whose dam won at up to ten furlongs; has to be considered although stablemate, Japan, looks to be the better fancied.

Blue Away (IRE) Unplaced in a backend Yarmouth maiden, this Blues Traveller gelding is a little hard to assess on the basis of his one run thus far

Foxes Lair (IRE) Showed promise in two median auction races last year; brother to a ten furlong winner and related to other winners

General Hawk (IRE) From his breeding you'd be hopeful that he could find a race or two; couldn't be a strong fancy but worth watching how he runs

Knight Crossing (IRE) Little show in two attempts last season; will probably need further than this in time

Lockstock (IRE) Inchinor colt whose dam only ran once; others preferred today

Lucky Chrystal (IRE) Cheaply bought colt who showed promise on his debut run last July but wasn't seen since

Ramzain Dam won a Beverley maiden over nine furlongs; another who is a little hard to assess in the context of the race

Soon Or Late His dam won on turf and the all-weather and stayed 12 furlongs; could need this today

Theban (IRE) Dam won over 12 furlongs and this gelding should stay this trip and maybe further; acts on the surface

Western Bluebird (IRE) Unplaced over a mile at Doncaster on March 22; plenty of stamina on the dam's side and she herself won over 14 furlongs

Win Alot Doesn't look an obvious source of victory today

Dream Bird Dam won over 5/6f at three; others preferred but, as with a number of these, the market might provide some clues

Japan (IRE) Her dam was top class and won the French 1,000 Guineas; she has a long way to go to emulate that and, whilst showing some promise last time, that looked a modest race

Oshiponga By Barathea out of a Warning mare, she's a half-sister to Inchinor; has very much to be considered, certainly at this level

Sashay Looked a bit tapped for toe on latest start over this trip at Wolverhampton; you'd be hopeful of her finding a race or two this year but maybe she needs further
