The Pipe machine looks to have found an easy opportunity for his Majed though it does seem quite ridiculous a horse thought good enough to take his chance in the Grand National is allowed to run in a beginners chase at Southwell. On his chase and hurdle form he should have little trouble landing this before going on to better things. Bear On Board showed promise night last year over hurdles but has always been thought of by his trainer as a three-mile chaser. However his reappearance run was not what was expected and he is best watched here. Hi Rudolph is an experienced chaser now and has run some decent races in the past. If completing he could be the one to fill the runners-up spot. Both Mad Jack and Crocodiles Den look out of their depth.
