Verdict

Only six run in an interesting handicap that brings an end to proceedings here and it should prove to be a competitive affair where our selection goes the way of STATUTE BOOK who should get the better of Miss Christophene and Hunterview. The selection recently completed a hat-rick on three different all-weather tracks, the first of which came over course and distance in late February of a mark of 54. His lasty victory came off a mark of 74 and the colt is clearly improving. Miss Christophene will be looking to complete a hat-trick over course and distance today after winning at the last two times of asking. If the pace here is good the race could be played into the hands of the filly who tends to put in a strong final run. Hunterview returns after a five-month spell off the track. It was a dismal performance from the three-year-old who looked to be getting somewhere after winning at Beverly over 7f back in September of last year. His yard is in reasonable for of late though and he could run well fresh here. Distance winners Becausewecan and Digger Derek are also returning from time on the sidelines and will probably be best watched though market referral could prove beneficial. Our selection here then is Statute Book.
