    In depth

    Verdict

Falcon Island had some decent form in Ireland before joining Colin Tizzard and ran another fine race behind the useful Topolski at Newton Abbot. He should be winning soon but he's now gone 10 races over timber without winning. Grandads Horse progressed with each bumper run and has the pedigree for this game while Omokoroa looked unsuited by the testing conditions at Ayr and is much better than that. The Hague galloped his moderate rivals into the ground at Plumpton but a penalty and stiffer opposition may prove his undoing and the vote goes to GOODWOOD STARLIGHT, who hadn't shown much over timber before scoring when well supported at Fakenham and looks capable of further progress.
