In depth

Verdict

This looks quite competitive for the track and time of year. A few of these have been in good form on the Flat including Londonia, though he was beaten off a 5lb lower mark last time over hurdles. A maiden win at Huntingdon in the spring sparked a revival in Shining Romeo but AUTHORIZED TOO has also won his last two on the level and Noel Williams’ gelding might be the one to beat if carrying that improvement back to hurdling. Comanche Chieftain is on a stiff enough mark on his handicap debut but the versatile Workbench is respected though others, including bottom weight Tamarillo Grove, are potentially better treated.
