In depth
Verdict
This is a competitive bumper to close the card and we will nominate Chilbury Hill to get the better of Hellfire Club and Gemini Ahhs. The selection ran well on his debut when chasing home Munnings Touch at Fontwell and with this step-up in trip very much in his favour he is taken to get his head in front. Hellfire Club hails from a stable that have a very good record in these type of events so this newcomer has to be respected and a watching brief on the market is advised. Gemini Ahhs is another that looks the part on breeding and again the stable usually do well in these type of events. However, it could be significant that the new stable jockey Paddy Brennan rides Peter Bowen's newcomer Silver Ace. The latter is interesting but is bred to be better over a longer trip and in a race where the market should provide a decent guide, we will stick with Chilbury Hill as the tentative choice.
