In depth

Verdict

This looks an above average juvenile hurdle for the time of year in that a number transfer to the jumping game with fair form on the level. Jazzy was a dual winner at Kempton in January but something was presumably amiss when he was pulled up a beaten favourite on his hurdling debut. It's tempting to give him another chance but INVOCATION has been performing with credit in maiden company on the level, having finished in the front four on each of five starts. Alan King often produces useful early-season juvenile hurdlers and the son of Intense Focus can make a winning start to life over timber. Trespassed and Yensir also produced sufficient on the Flat to be of interest and Itsamysterytome is considered on the back of a pleasing Market Rasen debut as experience can prove so important at this stage of the season.
