In depth

Verdict

Paddy's Poem stepped up on previous efforts over fences when beating Master Vintage half-a-length at Huntingdon but the staying-on runner-up is 4lb better off. LE CAPRICIEUX made all when winning by nine lengths over this trip at Fontwell and similar tactics could pay dividends around this sharp track with Don Des Fosses’ second at Sedgefield coming in a lower grade. Blairs Cove is making his chasing bow after a year on the sidelines but is well treated on the pick of his hurdles form.
