Verdict

BATHWICK MAN is put forward to score at the main expense of Sagredo and Truly Fruitful. The pick was a winner over 2m 2f last time and looks more than capable of following up. He was making a return from a lengthy spell away from the track and the David Pipe trained gelding looks to have trained on well. Another who made an impressive return to action when last seen in Jonjo O'Neill's Sagredo. The gelding tends to hit his best form at this time of year and should again do well. The step up in trip did the five-year-old the world of good at the last and if he continues this way he should soon take a race of this sort. Truly Fruitful should make the minors in a race of this quality but the gelding's recent form is less than impressive and a turn around in fortunes is needed. Gremlin and Presentandcorrect looks best of the remainder but neither are very consistent and will need to show marked improvement here. A check of the betting is strongly advised here as it may reveal some much needed clues but we will take a risk on Bathwick Man.
