Verdict

River Deep had become disappointing over hurdles so maybe the switch to fences will rekindle his enthusiasm. Sporting Boy won over hurdles at Taunton last month but has only managed two places in seven previous runs over fences. The ground may be too lively for Muckle Roe, though he should make a better chaser than hurdler. Warren Greatrex has wasted no time sending ANDI'AMU (NAP) over fences after just five starts over timber. His only victory came on soft going but he does handle this quicker surface and can make a winning start over the larger obstacles.
