Verdict
Poker School stayed on strongly to score at Kempton last month on the same day that Old Pride was finishing third at Warwick, almost six lengths ahead of Cut The Corner. Both have decent claims in this but DESERT RECLUSE should take all the beating if reproducing the form of his latest second to Gassin Golf at Newbury in a hotter contest than this - James Davies' mount can race off the same mark. The four-year-olds Guard Of Honour and New Tarabela have shown some promise but may need more time.
