In depth

Verdict

Peruvien Blu is still 5lb higher than when scoring at Ludlow in the autumn but he’s run a couple of decent races at that track this year and should go well if handling going left-handed. Emma Lavelle’s string is going well now and Blushing Red makes his handicap debut off a low mark after a second at Kempton but NOVIS ADVENTUS could pick up where he left off last year, though he was completely tailed off in a recent pipe-opener on the all-weather. Jaboticaba has been placed twice since joining Alan King so can’t be ignored but Bertimont was well behind Peruvien Bleu last month and is a shadow of his former self.
