In depth
Verdict
Lord Anner can come out on top here, with Denvale, Lord Beau and Vinnie Boy just a few in with claims as well. Paul Nicholls already has a useful hunter chaser in Sleeping Night, and in Lord Anner he has another one to follow in this sphere judged on latest efforts. The six-year-old won all three completed points before making a successful hunter-chase debut at Exeter in April, and has plenty of stamina in his make-up. He could well be a future National horse who knows, and is taken to win this decent prize tonight. Denvale was let down by his jumping when sent off favourite at Cheltenham last time, but was progressive beforehand so Caroline bailey's challenger must not be discounted. Lord Beau did nothing wrong at Newton Abbot last time and deserves his place in the line-up, while Vinnie Boy showed bags of stamina at Huntingdon on his latest start. Point winner Classify hails from a top yard and Uncle Neil has the assistance of leading rider Richard Burton, and it all adds for a decent renewal, with Lord Anner the answer.
