In depth

Verdict

Twice a winner over hurdles at this track including his latest start, HES OUR LAD can open his account over the larger obstacles. He'll need to brush up his jumping a little but is just preferred to Mark Twain. The latter was having his first start since February when fourth at Uttoxeter last time and much better is expected here. Plenty Pocket would figure if running up to his hurdling mark on his first start over the larger obstacles and three-time winning hurdler Alfraamsey could get involved on his chasing bow. Irish raider Vinnes Friend makes more appeal than Johnny No Cash.
