Verdict

PANIS ANGELICUS got nowhere near an easy winner here three weeks ago but this longer trip should suit and Tim Vaughan's charge, a six-times winner on the Flat in France, can open his account over timber today. Robert Stephens' stable won this last year so Almagest, also a winner on the level over staying trips, looks the danger as he's been steadily improving over hurdles. The selection's stablemate, Danmurphysdoor, has hinted at ability and has place claims again.
