Verdict

CARRIGDOUN BOY made a winning debut under Rules in the style of a useful performer. His rider’s claim takes care of the penalty and he can get the better of Stroll On By, who may still be improving and probably holds Catterick winner Kracka Nut on collateral form. Lightfoot Lady warrants close inspection, however, being a half-sister to dual bumper winner Firestep while Aldsworth is a full brother to winning hurdler Maid On The Moon.
