Verdict

In a decidedly modest handicap, CASPIAN PIPER gets a tentative vote given he will have the ground to suit and is back on a winning mark even before Alan Johns' 5lb claim. Not surprisingly, winning pointer Daulys Anthem showed a big improvement switched to fences at Uttoxeter and Shady Glen only found one too good over this track last time, though is 10lb higher than when successful at Worcester last month. Dawnieriver has the form to figure but she's had a few chances.
