Pistol Basc was raised 5lb after winning over course and distance earlier this month but has form on soft ground and shouldn't be left out of calculations. He makes more appeal than The Kings Assassin, who has had just the one run over fences so far and reserves his best for Fontwell. Croco Mister was a long way out of the weights when third here last time and had won at Worcester earlier so should go on the short-list but MOORLAND GEORGE's defeat of Thinger Licht at Warwick in May is strong form and he looks the one to be on. He was clear of the third when second at Fontwell subsequently and will have benefited from a short break.
