Verdict

Five Star Wilsham put some unpromising form figures behind him when outbattling Smadynium at Ffos Las but looks harshly treated by a 7lb rise and faces tougher opposition. Dark Glacier looks nicely weighted in the middle of the handicap and anything Peter Bowen sends out during the summer campaign needs careful consideration. Fredo is very solid in these staying handicaps and should be involved as he's been in good heart in recent starts but there could be more to come from OSCARSLAD who jumped well when making all over 3m 2f at Wincanton this month. He's only had three chase starts and nine career runs so it's reasonable to expect Harry Fry to elicit further improvement from the gelding. Thomas Wild fell behind the selection last time when staying on and is a decent each-way shout reopposing on much better terms.
