Verdict
A wide open bumper rounds off the card and as usual in these types of races the market will prove all important but the principals ;look to be Toemac, Grande Creole, Purple Patch, and Fox John and the vote goes to Toemac. The selection won well in similar conditions at Kempton when defeating Bishop's Bridge last time out and although it goes against the grain to select a horse under a penalty in this type of race it looks less competitive and he will be hard to beat. Grande Creole rates the main danger he was a fair fourth on his debut behind Rico Hombre and is sure to improve. Purple Patch is another worthy of respect but she will need to improve on her latest fourth behind Fenney Spring to score. Of the remainder Fox John is from a shrewd yard and is worth noting in the market but for the winner we return to Toemac.
