Scales has won around here and the veteran was in process of running a better race last time when coming to grief. CALARULES is a long-standing maiden but hinted that all was not lost on his first run for Tim Vaughan at Catterick. This is a lesser contest so he gets the vote to finally come good. Mr Lando was second over track and trip in December but was beaten 15 lengths and is a pound higher. Mister Drifter could figure if the drop in trip and blinkers bring about some improvement but a leap of faith is required for the remainder.
