Verdict

Highway Star made late headway when fifth at Ludlow on his racecourse debut. He’ll almost certainly improve on that here and looks a threat to CAPTAIN SIMON. Dan Skelton’s charge is a half-brother to useful Irish chaser Slieveardagh and his long-term future will be over fences but he didn’t look short of speed when successful in a maiden point at Charing in February. Take Em Out also has point-to-point experience while Lubatic made £12,000 at the sales last year having only cost 1,000 euros as a yearling.
