In depth

Verdict

BRIGHT ABBEY finished third on his hurdling debut at Uttoxeter in December. He was still beaten a long way but gets another chance here with improvement expected. Placed over timber in France, Maxi Chop is worth noting on his first start for Paul Nicholls and it would be no surprise to see a much better effort from Tramore bumper winner Shotavodka after a modest debut run for David Pipe at Wetherby. Kayalar can be given a chance on his third at Bangor while Quails Hollow, a winner on the Flat at Hamilton, could also go well on his first start over obstacles.
