Verdict

DAN’S CHOSEN is possibly a few pounds too high but this looks a lot less competitive than the race in which he finished fourth last time at Exeter, where he only weakened on the run-in. Lazy Sunday fell at the first here last month after an earlier third at Worcester while Layerthorpe and Toad Of Toad Hall were both pulled up when Airtothethrone finished third at Ludlow on his chasing bow – the latter looks the danger to the selection.
