Verdict
SHANTOU FLYER was last seen in the Grand National but earned his place there with a tremendous run when just failing to concede 10lb to Coo Star Sivola in a Grade 3 handicap at Cheltenham. He's best on ground with some give but his overall form is in a different league to these. Sadler's Risk might once have challenged him as he has a Punchestown Grade 3 on his CV though he's pulled up in his last three starts. Bayley's Dream has won six of his last seven between the flags and could make his mark at this level though he faces a stiff task against the selection, as does Road To Rome, who has completed a hat-trick in point-to-points.
