Verdict

The consistent Echo Foxtrot finished ahead of Don't Panic and Ofcoursewecan when third at Newton Abbot a couple of weeks ago. He's been placed in five of his last six starts but is still a maiden and may have to settle for a place on the podium again behind SHOT IN THE DARK. Jonathan Geake's charge scored over track and trip in November and a return to winning ways looked imminent when he was only headed on the run-in behind Frozen Over and Vodka 'n Tonic over 2m1f here last month. Hot Pepper won here in February but reverted to type when only beating one home next time.
