Verdict
A field large numbers but low in quality go to post for the first on the card and the principals look to be Cherokee Bay, Mrs Ritchie and Magic Mistress and the vote goes to the last named. The selection was a fair sort on the flat hails from a top yard and will not need to be anything special to win on her debut. Mrs Ritchie rates the main danger she is one of the least exposed in the field and showed enough in bumpers notably when third behind Shady Anne to suggest she could win a race of this nature. Cherokee Bay is also worthy of respect she was a fair third behind Glencoyle last time and that form has since been franked. Of the remainder Just Kate is from a shrewd yard and has also shown a little ability but for the winner we return to the hurdling debutante Magic Mistress.
