Verdict
Irish point-to-point winner Our Vic looked an above average recruit to the novice hurdling ranks when comfortably landing a similar contest at Exeter last month (main danger Mister Wellard pulled up after breaking a leg). On that evidence the five-year-old looks different class to his rivals and should follow up with the minimum of fuss. Stablemate Therealbandit, an unraced son of Torus, Charlie Mann's Leicester winner Tim's The Man, the Nicky Henderson-trained Bed Bug, Supreme Piper from the yard of Philip Hobbs and Henrietta Knight's Noble Deed are all worth keeping an eye on with a view to the future but it will be a surprise if Tony McCoy's mount is not good enough to beat them all.
