Verdict
A tough one to call and although Frederic Forever is very much respected there may be some value to be had in giving Dalcassian Buck another chance on these terms. Ah Yeah is an unexposed type who should also be considered if there are positive indications about him - while Hercules Morse has shown a good level of progression and is capable of getting into the shake-up if he continues in the right direction. However, Dalcassian Buck is suited by a test of stamina and could be worth a small investment here. The gelding has fared well in the face of some stiff tests this term and was far from disgraced when he was held behind Edredon Bleu earlier in the season. He has only been lightly raced since then and arrives here on the back of a good blow out at Wincanton last month. Therefore, with this trip more in his favour, Dalcassian Buck is taken as the value selection ahead of Frederic Forever, who will be hard to keep out of the frame if he stays the distance.
