Southfield Royale failed to cope with a penalty at Exeter having won a novice event at Fontwell in November. He goes handicapping for the first time today but OSCAR SUNSET is preferred on his recent second at Ffos Las when just held by Radmores Revenge. Rocky Elsom won a lower grade contest at Lingfield last time while Daveron scored over track and trip before finishing a well beaten third at Kempton off today's mark. A winner at Auteuil, Le Fin Bois has shown little so far in this country but has tumbled 12lb down the weights as a consequence and may yet come good.
