Verdict
The market here revolves around two seemingly well-weighted horses in Caliban and Mark Equal, with the vote going to the latter, but give some thought also to Berengario, Spread The Dream, Sninfia and Dinarelli. Caliban is officially five-pounds well in based on his Bangor win six days ago but, to be truthful, he looked to hold a good chance there beforehand. Mark Equal remains well handicapped based on his chasing form and, only just touched off at Wincanton last time, he should go well again from an officially-six-pounds-well-in mark. Berengario's form is solid, but he might be vulnerable off topweight, while Spread The Dream is conceivably well weighted and, with his stable back among the winners, he should be noted in the betting. The 91-rated Flat winner, Morson Boy, has yet to put it together over hurdles, and Sninfia is one that could be interesting from her current mark over hurdles. Dinarelli also has some kind of claim from his current mark, and Another Diamond is another that is back to a more-reasonable mark now, but he's had his problems of late. Field Master won from today's mark over course and distance in 2002, but hasn't had a great deal of racing since. If Harbour Point had had a previous run this season, he might be interesting, and do not rule out a decent run from Martin Pipe's Alikat. With Diamond Darren having lost his way, we turn again to the selection, which is Mark Equal, although he has nearly put us in the poor house this season.
