In depth

Verdict

Versicium will be a popular choice to give the Pipe-McCoy team a quick double. He has plenty of experience over fences, but he is inconsitent and a more reliable proposition is Il Capitano, who has won two of his three starts over fences. A winner here over hurdles, he clearly goes well on a sharp track and with Ruby Walsh on board (has won on him before), he looks the one to be with. He may have most to fear from chasing debutante Dantie Boy. A dual winner over hurdles, he gets a 12lbs off the selection and could prove troublesome.
