Elgar goes from strength to strength and can make it three wins on the bounce, Jupon Vert and Beluga may be the main rivals. Mike Hammond's nine-year-old was most impressive last time out when comfortably beating Extra Time by nine lengths. He could still be some way ahead of the handicapper and looks set to land the hat-trick. Jupon Vert is a hard horse to win with but put in another solid effort last time when chasing home Misty Dancer at warwick, more place money should be on the way. Beluga hit winning form at Leicester last time and the handicapper hasn't been too harsh, he looks best of the others. All in all a decent conditional jockey's handicap and Elgar looks the pick of the weights.
