Verdict

What Larks finished runner-up in a novices’ handicap here last month ahead of Somerset Lias. The latter has since been placed at Exeter with Bredon Hill Lad back in fourth. Eaton Rock won at Lingfield before returning a losing favourite at Warwick but JOHNS LUCK posted a better effort when second to Bold Bachelor at Fakenham on New Year's Day and he may prove good enough in this. Garde Fou has slipped down the weights over hurdles and reverts to chasing for the first time since 2013.
