In depth

Verdict

Oliver Sherwood's Silver Accord won well enough at Fontwell last month and has every chance of following up despite having to race off a 9lb higher mark but he is far from certain to stay the longer trip today and a better bet looks to be PRINCE TOM. The Paul Nicholls-trained gelding is a confirmed performer over this distance and can gain a deserved success having run some decent races in defeat of late. Jonjo O'Neill's Lost Glory disappointed at Aintree recently and of more interest may be Sawpit Solitaire, who makes his reappearance for Venetia Williams having run well when last seen at Wincanton in March. Any market support for the reappearing The Hudnalls would be of interest but it is Prince Tom that gets the verdict.
