In depth

Verdict

Chesil Beach Boy has struggled at the weights since completing a Wincanton hat-trick two years ago and finds this on the short side nowadays though he had Decoy a long way back when staying on at Wincanton a couple of weeks ago. Shammick Boy is the only course and distance winner in the line-up and he would be expected to win this on the form shown when landing a Grade 3 at Chepstow in October but he's run poorly subsequently and has never convinced on this ground. Moujik Borget has had problems since arriving from France though they didn't prevent him returning from a very long absence to score at Haydock in November. However, he ran very poorly at Kempton a couple of weeks ago and may be best watched. Helium is unproven on ground this testing and has a long absence to overcome so the vote in a tricky contest goes to GET IT ON, who has been in winning form over fences and will love the going.
