Verdict
Dogon arrived from France with a lofty reputation but has produced only one decent run in this country so far and was particularly disappointing on his reappearance at Fakenham. FLOATING ROCK has had excuses in both starts to date over timber. Tom Lacey has a strong team of novices this season and there should be more to come from the Catterick bumper winner. Miss Gemstone has been racing over further but was second at Ludlow in the spring and Bon Calvados placed at the same track last month. San Rumoldo may have needed his run in an Ascot bumper and shouldn’t be written off just yet.
