In depth

Verdict

Quaddick Lake won at Worcester in July but was twice a beaten favourite the following month and has gone up a further 5lb since. Woolfall Treasure always seems to find at least one too good on the Flat and over hurdles but the unexposed Revani could be interesting after a pipe-opener at Wincanton and Daymar Bay showed enough last year to suggest he could win a race or two. He makes more appeal than Irish import Angles Hill at the weights. CONSULATE found only the in-form Geminus too strong at Plumpton on his return and usually runs his race. He could go one better here, though it would be no surprise to see Mighty Monty in the firing-line if on a going day.
