In depth

Realta Dawn was winning over hurdles for the first time in 21 attempts when scoring at Wincanton. He’s been raised 7lb and winning partner Jack Tudor is unable to claim his allowance under today’s conditions. Arty Campbell won on the Flat at Chepstow in August but never figured back over timber at Exeter earlier this month while Truckers Tangle has failed to build on placed efforts over fences and remains without a win over timber. Ourmullion looks high enough in the weights but MIDNIGHT MIDGE is not badly treated on a second over 2m here back in March and Chris Down’s charge gets the vote to make a winning reappearance.

Grageelagh Girl (IRE) 25-1 (11-9) Mid-division on outside, lost place 4th, hampered and forced wide bend before 3 out, no headway, 11th of 12, 22 1/2l behind Back On The Lash (11-11) at Exeter 2m 3f hcp (4) gd in Oct.

Midnight Midge 13-8fav (11-5) Led and disputed, headed 3 out, rallied to lead again between last 2, hit last, headed and no extra final 50 yards, 2nd of 7, 1l behind Marmont (11-8) at Taunton 2m hcp (4) sft in Mar.

Arty Campbell (IRE) 25-1 (11-0) Held up in rear, mistake 2nd and 5th, slightly hampered bend before 3 out, no headway, hampered last, 9th of 12, 21l behind Back On The Lash (11-11) at Exeter 2m 3f hcp (4) gd in Oct.

Ourmullion 10-1 (11-11) Chased leaders, jumped right at times, lost place before 3 out, 11th of 13, dist behind Sizing Tara (12-2) at Newton Abbot 2m 2f hcp (4) gd in Sep.

Our Three Sons (IRE) 10-1 (11-9) Chased leaders, lost place and pushed along 3rd, struggling from 6th, 9th of 17, 24 1/2l behind Global Tour (11-11) at Ludlow 2m hcp (4) gd in Oct.

Truckers Tangle (IRE) 4-1 (11-12) Mid-division, lost place on long run to 5th (usual 10th) headway after 3 out (usual 4 out), outpaced after last (usual 2 out), never on terms, weakened flat, 5th of 9, 16 3/4l behind Hartside (10-11) at Hexham 2m 4f hcp (5) gd in May.

Realta Dawn (IRE) 8-1 (10-5) Tracked leaders, led turning in, driven between last 2, ridden out flat, kept on well, won at Wincanton 2m 5f hcp (4) gf in Oct beating Viking Ruby (10-1) by 2 1/4l, 8 ran.

Polo The Mumm (FR) 16-1 (10-11) Always behind, beaten 4 out, 8th of 14, dist behind Show's Over (10-6) at Worcester 2m 4f hcp (5) gd in Sep.
