        Verdict

        A very trappy race where Caribbean Blue is only a slender preference to Ablaj and Sonderborg, who have shown that they have got what it takes to win a race and deserve a change of fortune. Out of the rest: Middleham Park hails from one of the shrewdest yards in the north and support for him should not be dismissed lightly, even though this trip appears to be his bare minimum and the track record will be safe if he emerges on top. The same comments have to apply to the majority of the field in truth though, as this is not the most inspiring contest of the day. However, Caribbean Blue is open to a lot more improvement than most of her rivals and, with the extra furlong expected to bring the best out of her, the daughter of First Trump looks the ace in the pack today.
